Endemic shrub of the Mediterranean region, evergreen, with numerous erect branches, which can reach up to 1 meter high. New branches are more flexible and greenish, unlike the old, which have a gray cracked stocks. The leaves can measure just over 5 cm long, linear shaped, covered with hairs on the underside.
Flowering: It occurs during the summer months. The flowers are grouped in a sort of blue tang - violaceo.


Curiosities
The lavender flower and leaves is given different uses: it is used in food as a condiment, its flowers for perfumery essential oils are produced, as well as traditional remedy as a calming or relaxing. The stems can be used to weave baskets and decorative bowls. Are said to sprigs of lavender to repel insects.
